Expansion of laser–arc hybrid welding to horizontal and vertical-up welding

Laser–arc hybrid welding (LAHW) is an advanced method that combines arc and laser can achieve deep penetration the reduction of deformation compared with conventional welding. As other techniques, it common to target flat position (PA) as position. However, expansion applicable positions enables application high-quality welded joints fabricated by LAHW many in large steel structures.
